I love the fact that he’s using his wand as a gun. That’s even funnier than his ability to just nyooooooom~

The cocky smirk and pose add to it as well. He just gives the vibe of those evil characters who everybody loves to death because of their perfect combination of badass and smartass. Plus that coat, hat, and goggles combo rocks.

That brush looks so good, and the lighting! Is it one of those Photoshop brushes? Can I have it and mess with it a bit myself?

The brush was made in Clip Studio Paint and for Clip Studio Paint, i don't think it will work on Photoshop. :[

I like this concept of the undersea abomination thing with the mermaid-shaped lure. That's really cool, and I think you may have just given me an idea based on a similar thing.

Honestly, in my case, having to scroll down to see what's there and fully process it is a decent replacement for having to squint. The gradient in the brightness of the water and the other lighting effects are also really beautiful.

ooh excellent i'm glad it still packs that punch in the end! since i'm cross-posting over a few platforms, it's hard to remember how the composition itself can lend to the ambience cos it's not equal across those platforms. i definitely tried to at least have a "click for a surprise" element to it with how i cropped the thumbnail, but knowing the scroll down helps in that does make me feel better!

also who knows, maybe they're equally threatening to each other--when you think about it, that hook is pretty large ',:3c

This concept is absolutely delightful. I'd totally main him and his cute little bun bun.

Design also rocks. And is handsome, but we'll ignore that. Just seems to embody all the combined fun of steampunk and stage magic. You're doing it right.
